Can the idea of a museum change from just a mere collection of artifacts and paintings into a “factory” of multiple cultures and industrial development of Mumbai City?
The museum becomes a machine in an existing factory site producing various cultures of Mumbai city along with its industrial development through these past years, which makes the city what it is today. The museum is not just a display of the past but also a representation of the future. It becomes more of an interactive space rather than just visual displays of objects.
Site location: Parle-G factory (Vile Parle west)
